Ambivalence and ambiguity are mind states that each of us experiences about many aspects of our lives: relationships, work, personal goals, or even our meditation practice. Often we are unaware that ambivalence and ambiguity are present. We suffer from feeling indecisive, confused, and unsettled and are unable to move toward our intentions and goals.
Phillip Moffitt will present an evening program of meditation and a dharma talk that will explore how ambivalence and ambiguity often go undetected as our prominent mind state and how we can skillfully work with them. The good news is that when we bring mindfulness and clear comprehension to bear on ambivalence and ambiguity, we can resolve underlying issues of clinging and aversion that then bring us into a state of clarity and equanimity.
