Starting where we are requires surrendering to the truth of how things are in the moment; relating from where we are with an undefended heart calls forth and gives rise to forgiveness; recognizing the truth of our measure of choice in this human life leads to accountability.

In this online experienced students’ retreat, we will explore the themes of “Surrender, Forgiveness, and Accountability” in ever deepening ways, emphasizing the felt-sense as the primary means of our exploration.

This retreat is for practitioners already familiar with Nine Bodies Insight, including each of the Bodies’ primary characteristics and how to access them, and also familiar with Insight Meditation, including how to work with the hindrances and how to direct and sustain attention. The practices and teachings offered on this retreat will build from these foundations.

Retreat Details

Prerequisite: One week-long Nine Bodies Insight Retreat

Please note: Phillip will offer daily guided meditations; he will not be offering cohort group meetings. The cohort group meetings will be held by the other four teachers.

The retreat includes two detailed guided meditations per day, teaching sessions, and cohort (small group) practice meetings. Please plan to attend all of these sessions (listed in underline below) due to our emphasis on learning in community and the progressive nature of these teachings. The small group cohort meetings will be either Sun/Tues/Thurs OR Mon/Wed/Fri at the same time of day – either 1:30 or 3:15 PT.

The retreat is not recommended for those experiencing acute grief or other strong mental challenges.

This retreat is not a training to teach; attending this retreat does not in any way authorize teaching the Nine Bodies Insight practice method.
